This pillow was made for my dad as a Father's Day present. I made up the grids myself and crocheted the front & back in afghan (tunisian) stitch, then crocheted around the edge to connect them with a pillow form inside. It's a large pillow; approx. 16 inches square!!

Wow! I love the color work! You did the tiger in tunisian as well? I wasn't aware that was possible.

yeah, it's just a multi-color technique =) not hard, but you get lots of tangled yarn to untangle!!

That looks amazing! I don't see much tunisian crochet on here (if at all!) so I'm even more fascinated. You did a really nice job on the color work.

I prefer to use tunisian for color work because you get a crisper image, as opposed to just doing it with single crochet. Makes a better product in the end in my opinion =) Thanks for the :+fav:!!

Really? I'll keep that in mind.
And the fav's completely for the crochet work--I know nothing of the Bears!

indeed! i have done color changes with Tunisian and untangling the yarn can be arduous but immensely worth it in the end!

Good work on the pillow!

Beautiful!! I know very little about crochet (knitting's more my style), but it looks like a lot of hard work and it definitely shows! Besides, I love the Bears, so it's even better!

Don't mess with knitters. We've got pointy sticks.

Having an epiphany is like stepping on a snake. You're just going along, doing your thing, and suddenly you realize something that was right in front of you the whole time.
